Product Safety and Compliance at Minerva

Minerva treats product safety and compliance not as a separate application, but as a layer within an integrated business management suite running on a single database . The data required by the compliance engine—bill of materials, recipe, supplier record, production batch, shipment, and target market—is already in the same system.

Outstanding talents

Comprehensive GHS infrastructure

All details of the United Nations' Globally Harmonized System are available in the system: hazard classes and categories, hazard and precautionary statements, pictograms, signal words, cutoff values and concentration limits, calculation rules, and bridging principles.

Thanks to this infrastructure, classification relies not on the expert's memory or external tables, but on a defined and versionable set of rules within the system.

Production of multilingual safety data sheets

The 16-section safety data sheets, as outlined in the United Nations regulation, are automatically generated from product data in multiple languages . When the recipe, supplier data, or regulations change, all language versions are regenerated in a single process; which version was sent to which customer is recorded.

Hazard assessment from the prescription.

The product's hazard and toxicity profile can be calculated solely from the prescription, without the product being physically manufactured. This provides two benefits on the compliance side: knowing the situation in the target market when designing the formulation, and allowing for a collective reassessment of the portfolio when legislation changes.

Single database, seamless blockchain.

The supplier declaration is linked to the material record, material recipe, recipe classification, classification label, and safety data sheet, while the document is linked to the shipping document and the customer portal, all through the same database. These links are not established through an integration project; they are inherent in the system's structure.

Traceability and recall

Traceability at the batch and serial level is seamless, from raw material input to customer shipment. The question, "Which products did this lot go to, and which customers did it go to?" is answered with a single query.

Product development-related compliance

Compliance checks work integrated with product development projects. It is possible to view the technical result, cost, and compliance status on the same screen at the decision points.

Modern architecture

Minerva's next-generation systems have been developed with up-to-date technology since 2015. They are web-based, work in all browsers, are offered as a service in the cloud, and run on an Oracle database. Artificial intelligence language models are used extensively as assistants and agents.
