A safety data sheet is the legal identification card of a chemical product, and its 16-item structure is common worldwide. From a compliance management perspective, the real issue is not the preparation of the document, but the management of its life cycle : how many products, how many markets, how many languages, how many versions, and to whom each version was sent.

The logic of automated and multilingual production.
Almost all of the document's content can be derived from data already in the system: the hazard section from the classification engine, the composition section from the prescription, the transport section from the transport classification, and the regulatory section from the registration status.
The working principle of multilingual production is as follows:
Standard phrases — hazard and precautionary statements, and template texts — are maintained in the system as a translated library . The official translation of each phrase is defined once and used across all products.
Product-specific free texts are managed in separate sections based on language.
Country profiles include national legislation headings, limit values, and emergency telephone numbers.
During document generation, the language and country are selected; the template combines the data in the selected language.
All languages for a product can be produced in bulk in a single process .
Once this structure is in place, the document ceases to be a mere file and becomes a view of the data . When a prescription or regulation changes, all languages are updated simultaneously.
The scale problem
A business with one hundred products selling to eight markets manages eight hundred documents . Each one must be reviewed when the recipe changes, supplier data is updated, or regulations change.
In a manually managed system, determining which document is up-to-date can only be done by opening them one by one. In automated production, however, currency is an inherent property of the data.

Requirements specific to Türkiye
In Turkey, safety data sheets must be prepared by a Chemical Assessment Expert certified by an accredited organization; the expert's name, contact information, and the date and number of their certificate of competence are included in section 16 of the document. The system's automatic transfer of this information from the expert's record and monitoring of the certificate's validity period ensures continuous compliance.
