Determining the source warehouse: If there is multiple warehouses, determining which warehouse to ship from based on stock, distance, and cost.
Delivery consolidation: Combining different orders for the same customer, the same address, and the same day into a single delivery.
Delivery split: Split due to stock shortages, vehicle capacity issues, product incompatibility, or conflicting delivery addresses.
Delivery blocks: Workflow for halting and releasing shipments due to credit limit exceeding, overdue balance, lack of quality approval, missing documents, or contractual conditions.
Priority management: Urgent orders, critical customers, and overdue deliveries are prioritized in the queue.
Packaging and minimum shipping quantity: Application of rules regarding carton and pallet layers and minimum order quantity.
Balancing according to warehouse capacity: Spreading deliveries over several days to avoid exceeding daily picking capacity.
Critical capability: Delivery blocks must be automated . Leaving the dispatch of goods to a customer exceeding their credit limit to the dispatcher's discretion is a systemic flaw. When a block is established in the system, it records who made the release decision and why.
