The basis of this task is that every substance and every mixture has a complete record of its identity and hazards. Without this record, neither classification, nor labeling, nor safety data sheets can be produced.

Why so much detail?
Because all 16 headings in the safety data sheet and the entire label are derived from this data. The more complete the ingredient list, the more automated and accurate the generated documents will be. Incomplete ingredient data means manually filling in gaps for each new product; this means a renewed risk of error for each product.
The mixture record also contains composition information: which substance is present in which concentration range. This is the input for the classification calculation.
