Minerva is designed for corporate group operations, not just single companies. A corporate group or group of companies is a collection of parent and subsidiary companies that function as a single economic entity through a common source of control. These legally independent companies are under the common management of a controlling company.
In Minerva; the company that performs this control is called a customer. Legally independent companies and businesses that are dependent on the company, such as stores, branches, technical services, etc., are called business units. This structure provides individual control to customers and maintains the legal records of individual companies.
Central System
In Minerva, the client is the highest level in the system hierarchy. A client can have more than one company. Definitions made at the client level apply to all companies. You only need to make these definitions once in the central system. If you have companies, you can make corporate definitions for each company by selecting them from the central system.
